Version 10.1.2 of Asix.Evo

On March 9, 2020, a new version 10.1.2 of the Asix.Evo package was launched.

Version 10.1.2 has been equipped with a number of changes and new features that improve and expand functionlity of the package.

The main novelty is the ability to publish Asix applications remotely in VirtualUI technology.
VirtualUI technology allows you to run Asix.Evo and AsTrend applications in any web browser supporting HTML5, and therefore all the most popular at present - such as: Chrome, FireFox, Edge, Opera, Safari, on any platforms and operating systems. The applications are launched in such a way that they are physically running on the server, but their interface (GUI) is accessible remotely via a web browser. Inside the browser window, you can work with application windows as if they were regular windows launched locally on your computer. In addition to the traditional Asix4www licenses, VirtualUI technology requires the purchase of an appropriate number of VirtualUI licenses - directly at Cybele or through ASKOM.

The option of enabling SSL / TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption for TCP and HTTP communication with the use of asymmetric encryption with certificates has been added to version 10.1.2, which will allow greater security of data transferred between stations. It is a very secure and commonly used on the Internet communication security standard, which is a development of the SSL protocol. It ensures confidentiality and integrity of data transmission, as well as server and, optionally, client authentication. It is based on asymmetric encryption and X.509 certificates.

The new version of Asixa.Evo allows you to support access cards, thus giving you the option of authorizing the user with an access card. This is a nod to the growing need for electronic confirmation of identity. The user can have an access card code defined, which allows, in addition to the standard login mode, to set login with an access card in the options of stations.

The novelties are also:

In Asix.Evo.exe module

  • The option of limiting the number of files published on the WWW by selecting the subgroups option (eg Diagrams, Patterns, Windows sections etc.) for the application publishing operation.
  • New commands in the station diagnostics allow the operator to remotely force a restart of stations unconditionally or with the option of resignation at a specified time.
  • The ability to directly save a series of data to the archive has been added thanks to the addition of a new function in scripts.
  • Detection and notification of variable changes for SQL variable definition databases added.
  • The option to replace the main window inside the web browser added.
  • The Chart object has the ability to transform a linear series - new properties: "Factor 'a' of ax + b transformation" and "Component 'b' of ax + b transformation".
  • New methods have appeared in the Report class of the scripting interface: NewSection and SetSectionPageSetup, allowing to create multi-page reports with different page orientation.
  • Added support for DATACZAS_S7 conversion function to support byte coding of date and time components used in S7

( -WW). In Evo it is automatically recognized as a DateTime variable

  • The AsixServices license service configurator is equipped with the ability to configure access denied to clients - this allows you to block selected addresses from obtaining a WWW license and withdraw licenses and disconnect an already connected remote client.

  • Prototype text search in diagrams has been introduced - the new SearchText () operator action allows the operator to search specific text fragments in Text objects in a running diagram. The objects found are displayed in the list, and after confirmation they flash in the diagram to facilitate their location.

• New parameters have been implemented for several communication drivers of the package.
